LITTLE ROCK — The ACLU of Arkansas today decried the Trump administration’s decision to extend its Muslim Ban to six additional countries:

“President Trump’s Muslim Ban has, and will always be, unconstitutional and inherently racist,” said Holly Dickson, ACLU of Arkansas Interim Director and Legal Director. “This policy undermines the values of our country, and hurts our communities by stoking fear and bigotry. All Arkansans deserve to be treated fairly, and we urge those who have been victims of these discriminatory practices to reach out to our office for assistance.”

The ACLU has been contesting the Trump administration’s Muslim Ban since it was first enacted in 2017. Learn more about the ACLU’s work fighting against discrimination against immigrants and muslims here.
